Summer Bead-A-Long
Ever wanted to try beading in your knitting? Come and join in on the fun!
Choose a pattern by 6/10/11 - I've put this out a week because some may need to order or purchase beads and yarn to complete the project.
Complete your project by September 23rd (first day of Fall).
What we will be doing:
By 6/10/11 post the pattern that you've chosen for your beaded project on your blog. Return to this post and link to your pattern choice.
Every Saturday thereafter post an update on your project. If you miss a weekly post, just post the next week. Each week I will post a new post here on my blog that you can add your link to.
Please keep in mind that this is supposed to be fun. There really are no set rules other then posting your pattern choice by June 10th and completing your project by September 23rd. This is a collective effort to share ideas and visit other knitter's blogs and make some new friends!
Here are some links to free shawl patterns (you can choose any type of project, it doesn't have to be a shawl):
Crocus Pocus
Budding Shawlette
Entomology
After the deadline to complete your project (9/23/11) participants will be entered in a drawing to win some yarny goodness. If you would like to add to the prize pot, let me know! You can email me (see sidebar).
Even if you don't participate, but you like the idea, please consider mentioning it on your blog and posting a link.

Oh, how cool!! I wish I could join in, but I'm going to be gone until the 13th. I do have the yarn and beads to make a shawl, but I'm not sure I'm at the point in my lace career to tackle it yet.... Sounds like fun, though, I'm excited to see everyone's progress!
Looks like fun, but I don't think I'm up for a beaded shawl yet. I'll mention and link though!
I completely forgot we talked about this! I don't know if I'll be able to start right on the start date - but Im definitely in!
I'm definitely in! Can I buy the yarn/beads after I choose the pattern? I'm on knitting restriction until this Friday, and I have other projects to finish up.
