an excellent pattern, well written and perfectly tutorialed by Diane from Knitabulls. However, if you think you know what you are doing and you knit merrily along without checking your work ... RIPPING happens, because you did some decreases without the corresponding increases ... so close to the heel ... then back another inch or so ...

Sometimes i think it's hard to be an experienced knitter than a beginner...
I agree with Valerie --- we tend to go along thinking we know what we are doing. Yep, sometimes we should stop and COUNT!
Hope all is back to GO --- the sock LOOKS GREAT!
Oh if you only knew how many times I've ripped back, especially on socks. I tend to get started and then for whatever reason, think I don't need to pay close attention. Eejit.
I have, however, added that pattern to my collection - so cool! Thanks for sharing it.
Yeah that drives me crazy. I think I'm doing just great, and then I realize at a glance hmm something seems off, and then i keep going back and back further to see just how far off and back my mistake was. groan.
Hope it's a quick knit recovery!
