Yoga - YogOUCH!

I am terribly lazy.  I am always stiff and easily pull or strain muscles doing mundane, simple activities.  One of the ONLY exercises that I will do is Yoga - mainly because a good portion of it is done lying on the floor :o)  I got some DVDs by Rodney Yee recently, I used to have a VHS tape of his stuff (still do, but who has a VCR anymore?!?!).  I like his voice, I like his style and the routines are typically short and made so that you can actually work them into your schedule.

The first one I decided to try - because it was the one I could find ... have no idea where I put the second one ... is 5 different types of 20-25 minute routines for the week, so day 1 you do the first, day 2 the second and so on.  After the first session, I'm entirely certain that I should do this one over and over for the rest of this week and not even attempt the other four yet.

At one point he said, some of you may not be able to reach the floor yet, so do this ... I couldn't even do "this" which was half the stretch, LMAO!  Yoga is supposed to be a very focused, relaxed form of stretching and exercise, half way through I was huffing, puffing, muscles shaking in protest and then upon seeing the next pose on the video, laughing and laying on the floor for a few minutes.  I do feel stretched out and better after the session, but the experience just solidified the fact that I need to get off my butt and do some exercise more regularly .... geesh!

I exercise, but I could really use a good stretch now and then. I think I'll give those poses a go and see how I feel.

My legs and back get so stiff sometimes.

You enjoy it keep going! I stopped my lunch time classes they offered at a super low price at the office and now I cannot find my way back. Le Sigh. I stretch a little at home, but nothing like a little lite yoga. I have no upper body strength, so that would be good too. drat. I really need to try and go again. No space at home!

LOL..I went to "yoga on the beach" while on a cruise once...I figured, bunch of people on a cruise, on the beach, how hard can it be? Bwahahaha...about the time we were on our backs and were supposed to put our feet by our ears, I started silently cackling.
