These are oldies, but goodies. I didn't have any new photos for today. Here's goober 1 and goober 2 being silly - the only reason why they get away with so much. Riley is not pictured, because he is generally a very good boy and doesn't need to do silly things like this to make up for whatever they just knocked over, used as a scratching post, ran across our face while we lay on the couch, lick food that's on the counter, fight, etc.

Correct Hypothesis
My hypothesis was correct that if you wind on neatly, you can fit a lot more fiber on the spindle! I surpassed how much I fit on it before already and have a lot more to go that will fit on the cop. I still need to work on getting the singles right up against each other, but so far so good.

FO: Baby Surprise Jacket V
Pattern: Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmerman
Yarn: Ella Rae Cozy Prints
Started: 2/3/14
Finished: 3/17/14 (technically 5/25/14)
I love the Baby Surprise Jacket. This is the 5th one I have knit up. Its such an amazing design.
I had finished knitting it a while ago for my mom's friend's son who is having a baby in June. Last weekend when I saw my mom, I told her I'd give it to her this weekend when we got together for movies and dinner ... then I forgot all about it. I had seamed up one sleeve right after it was done and then it sat ... and sat. Well I finished seaming it at dinner today!

Willow
My little Munchkin loves to snuggle in the crook of my elbow while I'm watching tv on the couch. I looked down and saw this face plant / squish and giggled. Was lucky I had my phone right there to snap a pic!

Yoga - YogOUCH!
I am terribly lazy. I am always stiff and easily pull or strain muscles doing mundane, simple activities. One of the ONLY exercises that I will do is Yoga - mainly because a good portion of it is done lying on the floor :o) I got some DVDs by Rodney Yee recently, I used to have a VHS tape of his stuff (still do, but who has a VCR anymore?!?!). I like his voice, I like his style and the routines are typically short and made so that you can actually work them into your schedule.
The first one I decided to try - because it was the one I could find ... have no idea where I put the second one ... is 5 different types of 20-25 minute routines for the week, so day 1 you do the first, day 2 the second and so on. After the first session, I'm entirely certain that I should do this one over and over for the rest of this week and not even attempt the other four yet.
At one point he said, some of you may not be able to reach the floor yet, so do this ... I couldn't even do "this" which was half the stretch, LMAO! Yoga is supposed to be a very focused, relaxed form of stretching and exercise, half way through I was huffing, puffing, muscles shaking in protest and then upon seeing the next pose on the video, laughing and laying on the floor for a few minutes. I do feel stretched out and better after the session, but the experience just solidified the fact that I need to get off my butt and do some exercise more regularly .... geesh!

Spindle POP!
I received this spindle as a little treat from a lovely viewer of my podcast and I spent some time trying it out today. It spins awesome, I do have to park and draft because its such a light weight spindle, it spins back on itself very quickly - I can't keep up with it. Its about 5 1/2" from tip of hook to point of shaft and it weighs in at a mighty 5g.
The spindle is a Spindle Pop from Tilt-A-Whorl on Etsy. The fiber is some left over superwash merino from Into the Whirled.

She's naughty ... but, she's just trying to retrieve the toys that they all shove under the door ... only this door ... to my craft room ... where they are not allowed ... for some reason its always this door ...
